Helen Flanagan has hit back at social media trolls who mocked her pouty lips.
The 34-year-old former Coronation Street star was feeling herself when she took to social media over the weekend as she prepared for a night out across the river from Manchester. But as she uploaded a video of herself getting ready for her night out on Instagram, cruel trolls took aim at her puffy lips accusing her of injecting too much filler into her pout.
The drama began after Helen shared her clip with a caption stating: “ Christmas do in Liverpool so let’s go glam.” Vicious comments almost immediately followed, with one follower writing in response: “What's happened to her mouth.” And another typed: “your lip liner looks alittle strange? Like smudged?” – before adding to Helen that she “looked stunning.”
But another concerned fan slammed her for taking her cosmetic procedures too far, writing: “You’re a beautiful looking woman but your lips look too big & your top a size too small!,you’re literally busting out of it & not in a good way!” Not taking the comments, Helen bit back to slam those questioning her appearance.

The soap icon – who has played Rosie Webster on ITV's Coronation Street on and off since 2000 – wrote underneath her reel: “I never understand why people can be so mean x it doesn't actually matter how someone looks if you've got a good heart your beautiful anyway.”

Helen has been a reasonably open book about her love for cosmetic surgery – defending her choice to go under the knife to improve her confidence. In early 2022, she discussed having a boob job, revealing in a candid online post: "I was quite open here on Instagram in January about my recent boob job. This was something I wanted to do for a really long time and by doing so I’ve really got my confidence back
"I breastfed in total for three years. Matilda I fed for eight months. Delilah I fed for 13 months. Charlie I fed for 14 months. As soon as I finished my breastfeeding journey with Charlie I wanted to get them done pretty much straight away. I felt like you could tie them in a bow. I had to wait though for six months after feeding and then I went for it in January. I don’t regret one second of my breastfeeding journeys they were precious times. I was a little bit nervous I was worried they were going to be too big for my frame but they are so perfect for me and so in proportion."

And plugging her surgeon, she added: "I went with @pallmallcosmetics and couldn’t be happier with my results I love them I keep showing all my girlfriends. I am all for body confidence and I am all for empowering other women and supporting other women in their decisions that they decide to make."
And another time she shared her experience with Botox – explaining she had the injection in 2019 in the hope of looking more awake and to boost her confidence after the arrival of her second child. She said online: "I felt super tired from having Delilah and I wanted to feel fresher and more confident in myself. I would take pictures on my phone with the kids and would be shocked how much older I looked where in my head I still feel like I’m 20. I’m so happy with my Botox and if you're like me and still want to look 23, then it’s a good idea."
